Protect Your Data With 256-bit AES Encryption
GoldKey allows users to create a Secure Drive on any computer. The user can then store their private files inside the Secure Drive. To be able to unlock or open a Secure Drive, the correct GoldKey must be present and the correct password must be entered, making the documents inside inaccessible without the GoldKey.
The Secure Drive can be assigned any available drive letter. In Windows Explorer, it appears as another drive letter like when you connect a flash drive. From then on, every time you store files on your Secure Drive, they are automatically encrypted. | | | Benefits of Implementing GoldKey | - Protect data with military-grade encryption – GoldKey uses 256-bit AES encryption, the same grade used by the military and financial institutions. If someone removes the hard drive in an attempt to break into your data, anything stored on the Secure Drive partition is safe.
- Encrypt data “on-the-fly” – GoldKey utilizes “on-the-fly” encryption making it possible to open files and even play video directly from the encrypted Drive. If you need a “clear” copy of the file (one that is not encrypted), you can copy the file to a location outside of the Secure Drive, and it is automatically decrypted.
- Encrypt email stored on your computer – You can set up your email program to store emails on your Secure Drive. When you remove the GoldKey from the computer, the emails are no longer accessible. Insert the GoldKey, enter the correct PIN, and the files reappear. This feature is also helpful if you work on a computer shared by other users. Your email and other personal files are not visible when your key is not connected to the computer.
- Lock-down flash drives, DVDs, and removable media – The Secure Drive feature allows a user to lock by encryption, sensitive data on flash drives, DVD disks, and other removable media. Locking conventional flash drives with GoldKey is more secure than most “secure” flash drives on the market today.
- Prevent accidental lock-outs – GoldKey tokens may be registered to a Master Key to prevent data loss in the case of a lost token or forgotten password. Master Keys utilize patented technology to gain immediate access to data encrypted by any of its users, without weakening the security of the implementation. Learn more about the Master Key.

Other applications for the GoldKey | | Protect Email – GoldKey allows you to send emails with fully encrypted attachments. With a simple right click, you can encrypt a file or folder with GoldKey. | | | Smart Card – Each GoldKey has a Smart Card built-in, making it useful for PKI security applications. The GoldKey internal Smart Card utilizes the PIV (Personal Identity Verification) specification, which is widely deployed in government and is now supported by Mac OS X and Windows 7. | | | Active Directory – GoldKey tokens provide an excellent way to add multi-factor authentication to an Active Directory deployment and can be issued login and email certificates from an AD certificate authority like smart cards. | | | Authentication – The GoldKey may be deployed as a Smart Card authentication token, with at least two factors of authentication required. The GoldKey token must be present, and you must know your GoldKey PIN. This provides a much higher level of security over traditional password-only authentication methods. |
